The Tovell Funeral Home was established by Nathan Alfred Tovell at 15 Yarmouth Street, Guelph, in January 1909. N. A. Tovell died in 1968, and in 1970 the Tovell Funeral Home was acquired by A. Bert Custance and Robert Lee of Lee & Custance Funeral Home, Norfolk Street, Guelph, and became known as the Tovell Chapel. The Tovell Chapel closed in 1972.
