Ed Butts is the author of more than thirty published books and hundreds of articles. He has also written for the Canadian Encyclopedia. Most of his work is historical nonfiction and Ed’s book, Wartime: The First World War in a Canadian Town, won the Ontario Historical Society’s J.J. Talman award. Ed will be sharing anecdotes from his experiences as a researcher that prove two particular points. 1. History is full of surprises: you never know what you’re going to find. 2. Not everything can be found online.
