Meeting Date and Place
- Date: Tuesday, November 28, 2017
- Time: 6:45 - 9:00
- Location: Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 190 Marksam Road, Guelph
- Topic: Breaking Through Genealogical Brick Walls!!
Join us for a discussion and tips on breaking through genealogical brick walls. We all have them, barriers in our research that seem impossible to break through. But many of us have also been able to find a way to get through and learn more about our family’s past … at least once. Maybe it was through searching a variation of the family’s surname or finding a newspaper story or a new online record or maybe it was through a DNA test which allowed you to connect with another family member. This is an opportunity to discuss what has worked and hopefully, learn some new strategies.
If you can’t make this meeting, let us know your best strategies for breaking down brick walls and we’ll include them in the discussion. We’ll also print them in future editions of Traces & Tracks.
This will also be our annual general meeting so if you have ever thought about joining our Branch Council, this is the time!! Our branch elections will be held following the discussions on breaking through brick walls.
NOTE: New meeting location and its grounds are a smoke- and scent-free environment. Coffee / Tea are not permitted on the premises.
