Join us on September 23, 2025, at 7:00 pm for an in-person tour of Archival & Special Collections in McLaughlin Library at the University of Guelph.

Come out and learn about the collections held in the archives and how best to access them, with an emphasis on the records most relevant to family history research. Discover genealogical gems in the Scottish, agricultural history and rural heritage, culinary, and regional and early campus history collections – including records from the three founding colleges of the UofG (Ontario Agricultural College, Ontario Veterinary College, and Macdonald Institute). Come join us for an interactive, hands-on visit to the archives!

Note: Parking is free on campus after 5pm. Meet in the Archival & Special Collections Reading Room, located on the 2nd floor of McLaughlin Library (turn left off the triple elevators). Registration is not required for this event.
