Curious about your family history but not sure where to begin? This introductory session will guide you through the first steps of genealogical research. Learn how to start with what you know, collect and preserve family stories, identify the most useful records, and document and organize your discoveries with confidence. The session will also include a practical overview and comparison of popular genealogy websites such as Ancestry.ca, FamilySearch.org, MyHeritage.com, and FindMyPast.com, helping you decide which tools best suit your research goals.

Join members of the Wellington County Branch, Ontario Ancestors, in partnership with the Guelph Public Library for this in-person, interactive workshop.

Location: Program Room (2nd floor), Guelph Public Library, 100 Norfolk Street, Guelph

There is no fee for this workshop. However, registration is required.
